
Tired of throwing in some sliced apples and crumbs into a pan and calling it "Apple Kugel"? This is a real apple kugel sensation! Using a food processor, the apple consistency is just right.The layers make an impressive presentation. This is a favorite at our Shabbos table. Of course, an added bonus- it's freezer friendly!

INGREDIENTS
11 baking apples
¾ cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1½ Tbsp vanilla sugar
3 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
¾ cup oil
1 eggs
1 Tbsp vanilla sugar
Peel and core the apples. Process in food processor using the kugel blade.
Add 3/4 cups sugar, 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1 1/2 tbs. vanilla sugar to the apples. Mix and set this apple mixture aside.
Combine the remaining ingredients together in a bowl (ingredients #5 - #10). This will be your dough.
Spread 1/3 of the crumb mixture in the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Press the crumbs down tightly. Spread 1/2 the apple mixture on top of the crumb layer. Add another layer of crumbs, another layer of apples, and end with a crumb layer on top.
Bake at 350 F for about an hour or until golden brown.
