A vegetable-loaded, colorful twist on a very regular appetizer...
1 loaf gefilte fish, defrosted
10 oz frozen spinach, defrosted and drained
4 carrots, peeled, chopped, cooked, and mashed
After fish is defrosted, divide into three parts.
Combine the first part with spinach, mix thoroughly to combine, and spread in the bottom of a greased loaf pan.
Spread a plain layer on top.
Combine the third part with cooked, mashed carrots, mixing thoroughly to combine (if it's not the color you want, add turmeric and paprika to help)
Bake, covered, at 350 for 1 1/2 hours. Uncover for an additional 1/2 hour.
