I made this for yom tov for my family, and everyone loved it!

INGREDIENTS













  • 1 (12 oz) package bow tie pasta










  • 1 large onion, diced










  • 2 Tbsp oil










  • 1 package deli pastrami, cubed










  • - dash of sugar










  • - salt and pepper to taste










  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.




  2. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add onions and saute until golden brown. Add pastrami and spices and mix well; remove from heat. Add pasta and mix everything together until fully incorporated. Adjust seasoning if needed.




  3. TIP: this freezes very well. Store in tightly covered foil. To warm up on yom tov, simply put into a larger water filled pan onto hot tray until ready to serve.
