
This is not your typical pepper steak. Usually pepper steak is cooked asian style- with soy sauce and peppers. This version is as it states- A Hungarian version! With ketchup and brown sugar. Your kids will lick the plates clean.

INGREDIENTS
1½ lb pepper steak
1 medium onion, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
½ cup ketchup
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tsp paprika
½ tsp mustard
1½ cup water
Heat oil in a skillet.
Add the pepper steak, sliced onion and garlic. Stir until the meat browns and onions are soft.
In a large bowl combine ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, salt paprika, mustard and water.
Pour sauce over meat; cover and simmer for 2-21/2 hours. (make sure the flame is very low.)
