INGREDIENTS













  • 1 lb White potatoes,peeled and cubed










  • 1½ tsp salt, divided










  • - pepper, to taste










  • 4 Tbsp oil, divided










  • 2 large onions, minced










  • 1½ lb ground beef










  • ½ cup ketchup










  • 1 Tbsp vinegar










  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard










  • 1 Tbsp honey










  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce










  1. Place cubed potatoes in a pot and add water to cover. Add 1 teaspoon salt and bring to a boil. Simmer until tender, around 15 minutes. Drain the potatoes and mash with 3 tablespoons oil and 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper.



  2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the onion, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and pepper to taste;saute until golden. Add the beef and cook for 6-8 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon and spooning off and discard any grease.



  3. Meanwhile, mix together ketchup, vinegar, mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce. Add to the beef and cook for 1 minute.



  4. Transfer the beef mixture to a 2 quart oven to table dish and top with mashed potatoes. Sprinkle paprika on top.



  5. Broil on high until it begins to brown, 2 to 4 minutes.
