Yummy and smooth. Nobody discerns the healthy ingredients. And the only "cheat" is a little squirt of chocolate syrup (there must be a healthy alternative for that, too)
I love this because I can't stand the taste of yogurt or bananas, which feature prominently in a huge percentage of healthy, indulgent-tasting smoothie recipes. Also, because the smoothness comes from the avocado and flaxseed, it holds up well with no danger of melting
You can easily adjust the ingredient quantities to suit your taste or availability
2½ cup milk or soymilk
1-2 Tbsp chocolate syrup
1-2 Tbsp ground flaxseed
1 Tbsp peanut butter
Combine all ingredients in blender.
Blend until smooth.
Serve and enjoy :-) Serve with a straw for extra sensory experience for the kiddos!
