Simple, easy and delicious onion soup. Perfect to start off a dairy meal. The measurements are for 2-3 servings so feel free to double or triple as needed. This soup freezes well.
2 Tbsp Oil
1 Large onion
1 tsp Flour
1.5 Tbsp Onion Soup mix
- Salt, to taste
4 cup Water
- Shredded cheese
Heat oil. Cut onions in wedges and saute in oil on a small flame until golden - about 25 minutes.
When onions are done add the flour and stir for 5 minutes
Add water, onion soup mix and salt and bring to a boil. Let simmer for 45 minutes
Add shredded cheese in the plate while serving.
