This delicious salmon fillet has a crisp crunchy crust with a sweet, soft, melt in your mouth inside. Te recipe is quick, easy and flavorful! A real treat for your mouth! Use the freshest salmon for the best taste. This healthy recipe counts as one protien and one carb. I made this recipe for one person but the recipe can be doubled or tripled. The breadcrumb seasoning was not exactly measured so I approximated but season to your liking. The seasoning in the crumbs really make it taste great!
1 (3 oz) Wild salmon fillet
1 (⅓ cup) Panko bread crumbs
1 (¼ tsp) Salt plus more for sprinkling
1 (⅛ tsp) Freshly ground black pepper plus more for sprinkling
1 (2-3 tsp) Dijon mustard
1 (⅛ tsp) Garlic powder
1 (¼ tsp) Parsley flakes
1 (⅛ tsp) Chili powder
1 (⅛ tsp) Ginger
1 (⅛ tsp) Oregano
1 (1 pinch) Cinnamon
1 (1 pinch) Cayenne pepper
1 (¼ tsp) Paprika
Sprinkle the salmon fillet with Salt and pepper.
Brush with mustard on all sides
Mix the Panko with the salt pepper garlic powder parsley oregano cinnamon ginger chili powder paprika and cayenne pepper
Coat the salmon fillet with Panko on all sides sprinkling the remainder on top of the salmon.
Heat a pan until it's too hot to hold your hand 2 inches above it and spray Pam.
Before the Pam turns brown place the salmon fillet in the pan and brown each side (abt 3 mins each side). Rotate the salmon carefully so it does not break.
When the salmon is nicely browned on all sides (including the sides) remove from the pan, garnish with fresh chopped parsley or dill and serve!
