A quiche with a difference. I serve this for melave malka or as a side dish to any milky meal.

INGREDIENTS













  • 1 (212 gram) Shortcrust Pastry or










  • 2 Mallawachs










  • 2 Onions sliced










  • 2 Red onions sliced










  • 8 Scallions










  • 1 Leak sliced










  • 4 Tbsp Flour










  • ⅔ cup Milk










  • ½ tsp Salt










  • 1 (250 ml) Fresh Cream










  • 4 Eggs beaten










  • 100 gram Grated Cheese










  1. Roll out shortcrust pastry or mallawachs, and put into 12" round tin.



  2. Prick the dough and bake blind for 15 min on 320.



  3. Melt butter in a pot, add the vegetables and sautee 10-12 mins. Sprinkle flour in, add cream, salt, grated cheese and milk.



  4. Remove from heat. Let cool. Stir in beaten eggs.



  5. Pour into crust and sprinkle with some more grated cheese.



  6. Bake 320 for 45 mins.
