I'm trying to keep away from high cholesterol foods, so I looked and found a really great alternative. I made one batch and froze it in small containers. It freezes really well too.

INGREDIENTS













  • 1 cup raw lentils










  • 1 cup Walnuts










  • 1 large onion










  • 2 Tbsp oil for frying










  • 0 salt & spices to taste










  1. Cook the lentils and chop and fry the onion.



  2. Puree the lentils, fried onion and walnuts in a food processor for about 5 full minutes until the mixture is smooth.



  3. Season with salt, garlic powder and cayenne pepper or black pepper
