I'm trying to keep away from high cholesterol foods, so I looked and found a really great alternative. I made one batch and froze it in small containers. It freezes really well too.
1 cup raw lentils
1 cup Walnuts
1 large onion
2 Tbsp oil for frying
0 salt & spices to taste
Cook the lentils and chop and fry the onion.
Puree the lentils, fried onion and walnuts in a food processor for about 5 full minutes until the mixture is smooth.
Season with salt, garlic powder and cayenne pepper or black pepper
