These low-guilt cookies are made from everyday pantry items and accented with chocolate chips or raisins (or both).

Â¼ cup butter or margarine
Â¼ cup canola oil
Â½ cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
Â¾ cup whole wheat flour
1Â½ cup whole oats
Â½ tsp baking soda
Â¼ tsp salt
Â½ cup raisins
Â½ cup chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350 F/180 C.
Combine butter/margarine, oil, sugar, egg, and vanilla in a food processor fitted with the steel blade and process until well-combined.
Add flour, oats, baking soda, and salt and process with quick on/off pulses until a batter forms.
Carefully remove the blade from the processor and mix in chocolate chips and raisins by hand.
Form small balls from the batter and bake on cookie sheets lined with parchment paper for 15-18 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before eating.
