I found this recipe in our local newspapers, and decided to give it a shot. I couldn't find a good recipe for custard so I used store bought.

INGREDIENTS













  • 5 cup flour










  • 2 eggs










  • 1 oz yeast










  • 1 cup warm water










  • ¼ cup oil










  • ½ cup apple juice OR orange juice










  • 4 Tbsp sugar










  • 1 vanilla sugar










  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add it to your mixing bowl. Add flour, pour juice on top; then add remaining ingredients. Turn on your mixer and mix until a soft dough is formed.



  2. Place dough into a clean bowl and cover with a towel. Let rise for 1/2 hour. Sprinkle counters with flour and roll out dought until 3/4 inch thick. Form balls using a glass or cookie cutter. Let rise again for 1/2 hour. Fry in oil, let it cool and fill w/a filling of your choice.



  3. Sprinkle w/confection sugar.
