An easy kugel (makes only 1 pot dirty!), freezes well, and has a good sweet and peppery taste. Great to have in the freezer and pull out before shabbos when you have no time to make any other kugel.

INGREDIENTS













  • 1 stick margarine










  • 4½ cup water










  • 1 cup sugar










  • 2 tsp salt










  • ¾ tsp pepper










  • 12 oz thin kugel lukshen (noodles)










  • 3 Tbsp oil










  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar










  • 2 eggs










  1. Boil water.



  2. Add margarine, sugar and pepper.



  3. Mix in lukshen. Cook 10-15 minutes. Remove from flame.



  4. Add oil and brown sugar. Let mixture cool a bit before adding the eggs (you don't want the eggs to scramble).



  5. Pour into 9" round pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour- till golden. (cover for first 20 minutes, then uncover rest of baking time)
