It's been a tradition in our family for the past 20 years to serve this great tasting chicken every Friday night. It also tasted delicious cold and stays fresh for several days refrigerated. It is very easy to prepare; yet it is a gourmet dish.
4 pieces chicken with skin
5 Tbsp heaping- apricot jam
4 Tbsp onion soup mix
With a spoon combine onion soup mix with jam well.
Place chicken pieces in roaster pan. Spread the jam mixture thickly over the pieces. Cover and bake at 350 for 3-4 hours. The trick to this chicken is its long baking time.
Uncover for a crispier taste, for an additional 15 minutes.
