A light version of tzimmes thats doesn't have the heavy honey taste. I use a plastic cup to measure and use about 1/2 plastic cup of sugar and orange juice.

INGREDIENTS













  • 6-7 carrots










  • 2 Tbsp oil










  • - water










  • ⅓ cup sugar










  • ⅓ cup orange juice










  • 1 pinch salt










  1. Peel and cut carrots into thin rounds.



  2. Saute the carrots in the oil for 2 minutes.



  3. Add water to cover the carrots halfway. Cover pot and let cook for 20 minutes.



  4. When carrots are slightly soft, add the sugar, orange juice and a pinch of salt. Let cook an additional 15 minutes. Uncover the last 5 minutes.
