This sponge cake is light and simple to make. The 2 things I like about this recipe are; it doesn't use so many eggs and there are an equal amount of whites and yolks so there are no yolks to use up after making this cake.

INGREDIENTS













  • 7 eggs, separated










  • 1.5 cup flour










  • 1.5 cup sugar










  • 1.5 tsp baking powder










  • 6 Tbsp orange juice










  1. Combine flour, sugar and baking powder. Set aside.



  2. Beat egg white until bubbly, add yolks 1 at a time.



  3. Add the flour and sugar mixture. Mix.



  4. Add the orange juice and mix again.



  5. Bake in a tube pan @ 350 for 1 hour.

We aren't big sponge cake fans but this was delicious. It was as easy as it says and comes out perfect.
