I was quite dissapointed when I couldn't find the right baking pan I was looking for to make my Praline Cheese cake. I shared my dissapointment with my neighbor & she brought up a great idea of making a check-board cheese. I tried it & couldn't resist cutting it up before shevuos to see how it looks. Got you the photo & recipe of this wonderful cheese cake-it's heaven & almost gone!

INGREDIENTS













  • 6 oz Crushed chocolate chip cookies










  • 6 tsp Butter










  • 3 (8 oz) Cream cheese










  • 1 cup sugar










  • 4 oz eggs










  • 2 Tbsp vanilla sugar










  • 1 lb sour cream










  • 3 Tbsp flour










  • 1⅓ Tbsp cocoa










  • 1/6 cup sugar










  • ⅔ tsp coffee










  • ⅔ Tbsp sugar










  • 1 Tbsp hot water










  1. Recipe uses Checkboard cake pan from Wilton: http://www.wilton.com/recipe/Checkerboard-Cake-1



  2. Melt butter and mix with with crushed chocolate chip cookies. Flatten in one baking pan and bake for 10 minutes on 350.



  3. Then, mix well following 6 ingredients until smooth.



  4. Divide mixture in half & add last 5 ingredients to one half of the mixture.



  5. Follow instructions on baking pan how to form checkboard effect.



  6. Bake each layer on 350 for 45 minutes in another baking pan filled with water. (this prevents it from cracking.) After 45 minutes close flame and let cool in oven.



  7. Stack layers and cover with caramel glaze.



  8. Enjoy baking & watching your family members surprised by this different & wonderful cheese cake!
