INGREDIENTS













  • 2½ cup rice krispies










  • 1 cup chopped pecans










  • 1 stick margarine










  • 1½ cup shredded coconut










  • ¾ cup brown sugar










  1. Mix all ingredients in a oven safe dish.



  2. Place in oven at 350 uncovered.



  3. Bake for 1/2 hour stirring frequently.



  4. Let cool and then place in air tight container.



  5. Freeze, and remove 10 minutes before using. You can refreeze it and use it again. It just might be gone before you know it.

Used it as a pie crust

I didn't measure, and used almonds instead of pecans, but this is a great crunchy mix. After the margarine melted, I pressed it into the Pyrex like a crust and continued baking.

Once it cooled, I spread the pareve ice cream on top (just a rich's whip version) and froze for an ice cream pie.

This is amazing... I use it sometimes as a 'healthy' breakfast sprinkled on top of natural yoghurt!
