The pecans and cinnamon give the ordinary lukshin kugel an interesting flavor. It also makes a pretty presentation on the plate.

INGREDIENTS













  • ½ cup margarine










  • ½ cup brown sugar










  • 1 cup pecans (chopped)










  • 1 pack medium noodles, 400 grams










  • 3 eggs










  • ½ tsp cinnamon










  • ½ cup sugar










  • ½ tsp salt










  1. Melt the margarine. Add the brown sugar and chopped nuts and mix. Place on bottom of 9" round pan and set aside.



  2. Cook the noodles and drain. Let cool. Add eggs, cinnamon, sugar and salt and mix.



  3. Pour mixture on top of nuts and bake for 1 hour at 350*F.



  4. To serve, invert the kugel so pecans are on top.

I make this all the time and it really comes out great. I am lazy though so I just buy roasted pecans from the shop and use them, it saves the hassel of baking them.
