INGREDIENTS













  • 1 pack of orzo










  • - Vegetables:










  • ½ onion










  • ½ colored pepper










  • ½ celery










  • 1 mushrooms










  • - Other:










  • 1 pastrami / deli cubes










  • 3 tsp brown sugar










  • 2 tsp soy sauce










  1. cook orzo



  2. saute vegetables



  3. Cut meat into small cubes



  4. Add meat to sauteing vegetables



  5. Add cooked orzo to cooked vegetables



  6. Add brown sugar and soy sauce to orzo with vegetables and keep on low flame for a few minutes.

I loved this! So easy and quick and there was no left overs- actually needed more. I substituted salami since that is what I had as well as rice which is more staple in my home than orzo. Some of my kids (I have 4 from ages 2-10) favored the veggies and some the salami but it really was fantastic. Will definatley have on the menu again. thanks for sharing this quick and easy recipe.
