This side dish is a great side dish for Friday night meals. It freezes very well so you can prepare it in advance and freeze in portion sizes. Remove from freezer and defrost on the counter. Originally from the Silver Spoon Cookbook- Kosher cooking for the discerning palate.

I make this recipe every week and serve it on Friday night as a side dish to my chicken and potatoe kugal. It is also delicious served cold as leftovers on Sunday.
