
This is a meat all-in-one dish. When I first got married and made fancy dinners I served it for dinner. Now it's a Yomtov specialty. Serve in squares (like lasagne.)
For this yomtov I'm planning to make individual knishes using the same thing, just stuffing it in puff pastry pockets rather than layering it,

INGREDIENTS
1 pkg puff pastry (2 sheets)
2 large onion, diced
5-6 zucchini, shredded with peel
4 large carrots, shredded
1 Tbsp matzah meal
1 large onion, diced
2 lb ground meat
¾ cup matzah meal
1 tsp salt
3 eggs
¾ cup tomato juice (or a bit less if sauce)
½ tsp garlic
- big squeeze ketchup
Roll out 1 sheet of dough, either to fit 1 cookie sheet or 2 9"x13" pans.
Place in lined pan.
Saute first set: onions with zucchini & carrots.
Add matzah meal & salt.
Mix well. Set aside.
Saute second set: onion with meat.
Add the rest of ingredients.
Mix well. Pour over dough.
Pour veges over meat. Roll out the 2nd sheet of dough and place over veges.
Make a few slits in the pastry dough.
Brush with egg and sprinkle sesame seeds.
Bake at 350 for 1 hour.
