For best results flat pita breads should be used.
1 large onion
1 squash, cut into chunks
1 tomato, diced
1 red pepper, sliced
1 (15 oz) can mushrooms
- dash of sugar
2 slices cheese
- salt, pepper, pizza spice and oregano
Saute onion for 10 minutes. Add rest of ingredients aside from the cheese and spices and saute for additional 25 minutes tossing gently. Season with salt, black pepper, pizza spice and oregano.
Put 2 slices of cheese on pita, add vegetables and bake at 400F for 10 minutes
