These are sticky, sweet and delicious green beans that taste great both cold and warm.
Optional: add 3/4 cup cashews.
2 Tbsp oil
3 cloves crushed garlic
1 bunch scallions (optional)
1 red pepper, diced
¾ cup honey
2 tsp cornstarch
3 Tbsp soy sauce
3 lb fresh green beans
Heat oil in frying pan. Saute garlic. Add scallions and red pepper. Cook until it starts to soften.
Add honey and stir.
Mix cornstarch and soy sauce together to prevent clumping, then add to the pan. Mix to combine. Continue to cook until thick.
Cook green beans for 6 minutes in boiling water. Rinse with cold water immediately.
Add green beans to the sauce and coat well.
