INGREDIENTS













  • 4-6 salmon fillets










  • 2 onions, sliced in circles










  • - little oil for frying










  • 1ΒΌ cup sugar










  • 4-6 bay leaves










  • 1 tsp salt










  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice










  • 4 cup water










  • - black pepper, to taste










  1. Saute onions in a little oil until transparent. Add sugar and mix well. Add remaining ingredients (besides fish) to the pot and bring to a boil.




  2. Add fillets and cook for 1/2 hour. Cool before removing fish from the pot.

definitely going to use this as my pickled salmon recipe!!- i plan on adding cloves next time...but it was delicious without it too!
