These are a really fun and basic recipe. Add fruity pebbles or cocoa pebbles for more fun.
Its really fun for kids as you can shape into balls, cupcake holders, letters or shapes. You can mix in fruity pebbles and make a har sinai for shavous.
You can leave out the margarine if you are on a diet.

This recipe is one that I grew up on. My mom made this for us for our snack years and years ago. I, too, have been making this for my children for over 25 years and it still is a favorite. I happened to have made some this evening and I am posting a picture. This recipe can be tweaked-add some melted chocolate in the pot for a chocolatey flavor or form these into balls and place them on a stick for a pop sweet.
