Delicious and easy. Tastes like caramel candy.
4-6 sheets Matzos
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 pinch salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup toasted almonds, sliced
Line large baking sheet with foil. Lay piece of parchment over foil. Oven 350 F. Place layer of matzo on pan breaking up pieces as necessary to cover bottom.
Bring butter, brown sugar to a boil. Boil 3 min. stirring constantly. Remove from heat, add vanilla & salt. Pour over matzo spreading out evenly.
Place in oven and bake 15 min. It will bubble up. Remove immediately, cover with chocolate. Let set a couple minutes to melt chocolate. Spread chocolate evenly over matzos and sprinkle with almonds. Cool and break apart to serve.
