Best nut caramel candy you will make! Good year round as gifts and for family.
1 cup walnut halves
1 cup pecan halves
1 cup Brazil nut halves
1 tsp butter
1.5 cup sugar
1 cup heavy cream
½ cup Karo corn syrup
Place nuts on baking sheet, bake @ 350F 4-8 min. until toasted nice golden brown, stirring once. Cool.
Line an 8" baking dish with foil. Butter well, set aside. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, cream, Karo and bring to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly. Stir in toasted nuts.
Cook, without stirring until a candy thermometer reads 238 F . Remove from heat. Stir until creamy and thickened. Quickly spread in pan. Cover and chill. Cut into pieces.
