This tastes just like stuffing. Great served with chicken!
½ lb fresh mushrooms
2 Tbsp chicken fat
1 tsp salt
¼ cup water
2 eggs, separated
6 Tbsp water
6 Tbsp matzo meal
1 pinch pepper
1 Tbsp chopped parsley
1 large grated potato
Slice mushrooms thin and simmer with grated onion, fat, salt and 1/4 cup water.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold in yolks and 6 TBSP water.
Gradually fold in matzo meal, mushroom mixture, pepper, parsley and grated potato.
Fill the cavity of 6-8 lb chicken to bake or bake in a pan at 325 degrees for about an hour
