INGREDIENTS













  • 10 eggs, seperated










  • 1 cup sugar, divided in two halfs










  • ½ lb good quality chocolate, melted










  • ½ lb ground nuts (or 2 cups)










  • ⅓ cup orange or lemon juice










  • 1 Tbsp Coffee granules










  • 5 Tbsp Matzo Meal










  1. Beat egg whites in mixer with 1/2 cup of sugar



  2. Add the rest of the ingredients, 1 at a time



  3. Bake at 350 degrees until toothpick inserted comes out clean (40-55 min)




  4. ICING: 1/2 c sugar, 1 tsp coffee, 1/3 c water, 1 bar good quality baking chocolate. Simmer sugar & water, add chocolate, bring to boil & stir to thicken. Spread on cooled cake.
