When I get tired of making Corned beef in Orange Sauce (recipe #674), I make this version. Delicious!
3 lb corned beef
1 Tbsp vinegar
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp pickling spice
2 Tbsp margarine or oil
⅔ cup sugar
⅔ cup ketchup
2 tsp mustard
2 tsp beet horseradish (chrain)
2 Tbsp vinegar
Place the corned beef in a pot. Cover with water. Add vinegar, sugar and pickling spice. Bring to a boil. Lower flame and cook 21/2 hours. Let Cool.
Combine all ingredients for sauce together. Cook until its well combined.
Slice meat against the grain. Serve with sauce. You can also slice and reheat with the sauce.
