THESE BAUGETTES TASTE EXACTLY LIKE STORE BOUGHT VERSION. DELICIOUS & EASY TO PREPARE, I FOUND THIS RECIPE IN THE BINAH. I HAD TO MAKE A 2ND BATCH WITHIN THE HOUR, AFTER THEY QUICKLY DISAPPEARED!
9 cup FLOUR
â…“ cup SUGAR
Â¼ cup OIL
2 tsp SALT
2 Tbsp DRY YEAST
2Â½ cup WARM WATER
3 Tbsp MELTED BUTTER OR OLIVE OIL
1 CUBE FROZEN GARLIC
1 Tbsp COARSE SALT
2 Tbsp FRESH PARSLEY (FINELY CHOPPED)
Preheat oven to 350^. Place yeast in warm water till it foams. In mixing bowl, combine all dough ingred. Mix 10 min until forms smooth dough. Allow to rise 1 hr (take challa).
Shape into 24 small logs OR 12 larger logs and rise another 10 min. Bake for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix garlic with butter or oil. Remove rolls, from oven and brush with garlic mixture. (if you prefer a stronger taste, add 2 cubes of frozen garlic).Sprinkle salt & parsley and bake another 8-10 minutes. If freezing, rewarm 3-4 min on 400^.
