The taste of grandma's house - a classic in our family.
1 tsp vanilla
Â½ cup oil
â…œ cup brown sugar
â…œ cup white sugar
2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup walnuts, broken
Â¾ cup raisins
Add vanilla and oil and mix.
Add sugars and mix.
Gradually add the flour and baking powder and mix.
Add the walnuts and raisins and mix.
Shape into two loaves. It's easiest if you wet your hands to shape them.
Bake at 300F or 325F for 35 minutes.
Cool slightly, slice and toast the slices.
