Adding mushrooms to my sauteed liver was one of the best things I've ever done! You can not taste the difference, and it's a healthier & cost effective choice!
3 large onions
¼ cup oil
1 box button mushrooms
½ lb chicken livers
4 Tbsp paprika
2 Tbsp garlic powder
1 sprinkle of salt
Slice the onions into thin strips and saute with spices for 5 minutes.
Cube mushrooms into 1/2 cubes. Add to onions & saute another 10 minutes.
Cut the liver into cubes if possible, or just small pieces. Add to frying pan and cook for 10-15 minutes.
