INGREDIENTS













  • 75 gram butter










  • 3 Tbsp flour










  • 6 onions - sliced into rings










  • 1-2 cloves of garlic










  • 1 cup white wine










  • 2 stalks of celery










  • - pepper










  • - salt










  1. Brown flour in a small frying pan or skillet. Remove the pan from the fire when it just starts getting darker. You don't want the flour to burn.



  2. Place butter in a pot and add the onion rings.



  3. Chop garlic and add to onions.



  4. Fry onions until they are a rich brown, add the flour.



  5. Add the wine and and cook for 2 minutes.



  6. Add water and celery. Season.



  7. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30-45 minutes.



  8. Serve with croutons and a sharp cheese such as parmesan
