Want homemade pizza, and don't have hours? Here is your answer.
2¼ tsp dry yeast
1 cup warm water
2½ cup flour
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp oil
8 oz pizza sauce
8 oz shredded cheese
1 any toppings of your choice
1 pinch cornmeal or flour
1 pinch oregano
Dissolve the yeast in the water.
Add in the rest of the ingredients and knead the dough. Add more flour if necessary. Note that you can substitute whole wheat flour for white flour if desired.
Let sit for 5 minutes, covered.
Preheat the oven to 425F.
Roll the dough to desired size. You can make a few smaller pizzas, a larger one, thinner or thicker -- however you'd like.
Sprinkle the pan with the cornmeal or flour and oregano. Place the dough on top.
Spread the sauce over the dough, sprinkle on the cheese, and add on any desired toppings.
Bake at 425 for 15 minutes.
