This is great for cold winter nights. Put it up in the morning and forget about it all day.
2 lb cubed beef chuck roast
5 cup water
4 cubes beef bouillon, crumbled
1 small onion, chopped
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
Â¾ cup uncooked pearl barley
1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
In a slow cooker, combine beef, water, bouillon, onion, tomato sauce, barley, salt and pepper.
Cover, and cook on Low for 5 hours
