This dough can be used to for a cookie gun. Its fun and easy. For a more sophisticated cookie sandwich the cookie with jam. Originally from the Silver Spoon Cookbook- Kosher cooking for the discerning palate.
4 (4 oz) margarine
1 cup sugar
4 cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
¾ cup ground walnuts
2 Tbsp vanilla sugar
1 capful almond extract
- Raspberry jam- as needed
- Baking chocolate- melted
Cream margarine and sugar, add egg. Combine flour and baking powder and add to mixture. Add rest of ingredients.
Preheat oven to 350F.
Place dough into a cookie gun, fitted with a flower disk. Press dough 2 inches apart on a baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
Cool. Spread raspberry jam on cooled cookies.
When chocolate is dry, turning cookies and dry, turn cookies and drizzle other side with melted chocolate. Place a dot of raspberry jam in center of cookie.
