A super easy sauce which goes well with many dishes. Use it over potato blintzes, knishes, orzo etc... You can also add to this sauce, peas, celery, frozen vegetables... and pour it into a pastry shell, for a great appetizer.
2 (24 oz) can mushrooms
3 Tbsp flour
2 cup broth-vegetable or chicken
- salt & pepper to taste
- oil for sautéing
Dice the onions and saute until golden in color. Add rest of ingredients- drained mushrooms, broth, flour, salt-pepper- and simmer until thick. Place in container in refrigerator and warm up when needed.
If you want to add other vegetables, add together with mushrooms. Mix well and cook on a low flame .
