Maida Heatter- pies and tarts- bought on amazon- love it!
Mark Bittman- how to cook everything

any suggestions?

yup. that's what actually happened quite a few times to me. I even had that I submitted a recipe & made some corrections soon afterwards. The recipe did not save & I got negative feedback on that.

This usually happens when it takes a long time to post it & it gets lost.

Hope you hae better luck next time !!!

Topic : What happened to my recipe?

I just spent quite a bit of time typing up a recipe and when I hit the submit button...poof...it was gone!
Do I really need to retype it?
Any ideas what went wrong?

I was one of the first 100 responders in the comments section of the pashmina giveaway earlier this April like I was supposed to, too, and I didn't receive my pashmina either. Why not?

Anyone know how this would be with some flanken added in. I want to try the recipe but I don't think I can get away with leaving out meat :)

My tip is to take tons of pictures, making small adjustments in between (focus, angle, props, etc.). If you think a specific shot has promise, take a couple extra shots in the same way just to be sure. It's a numbers game to some degree. Sometimes you get lucky & your first shot is THE ONE, sometimes it's not. Nobody but you will know whether your best picture was on frame 5 or frame 55.

I am not one who freezes much but I have found hat whenever I have done so, most foods freeze beautifully with no compensation on the taste as long as u freeze it immediately after cooking / baking it.

Chicken soup without the vegetables freeze well and all forms of crumbles and pies. Desserts are great to prepare in advance and it freezes well. I also like to prepare apple/fruit compotes and blend them before freezing.

I hope you don't mind me asking my own question here. I was really excited to win the Herend giveaway, however I never received it. I hope it wasn't sent to the wrong address. It's interesting, since I haven't received both the Herend dish and the pashmina, I wonder why. I hope to receive it soon, as I'd love to use it for Rosh Hashana!

I find that all meats, pureed soups and kugels all freeze very well.
Some side dishes that freeze well are orzo with vegetables, anything in dough like:
Deli Rugelach Recipe #453
Squash Muffins or any vegetables muffins http://www.cookkosher.com/index.php?option=com_repsearch&area=1&type=1&sort=4&meat=on&milk=on&parve=on&time=9999&level=&cetegories_string=&search_string=muffins&page=0&in_members=&ex_members=&favs=0&favuser=&mine=&seeall=&subLevel1=&subLevel2=&in_ing=&ex_ing=
