Try Recipe #802. It works well with the long cooking time. |

The honey beer chicken sounds yum. Any ideas for what I can substitute for the beer? |

why would you wanna do that? you will hardly taste the beer and it's very important to the recipe cuz it makes the chicken very soft ad tender. |

If you're worried about the beer taste, once its cooked- you'll never notice it. Beer adds a deeper flavor to the honey and beer and it tenderizes the chicken. Don't skip it! |

Here's an oldy but goody of mine. Or shall I rather post this in the recipe archives?
Just dump equal amounts of sweet red wine and orange juice. Toss in some peeled garlic cloves. Cover and bake. Voila, a yummy sweet deep red chicken! You can uncover for the last 15 min. to get a nice glaze. Loved by kids and adults, alike. |

I have never tasted better shabbos chicken than Apricot chicken Recipe #563 It is the easiest chicken to make (only apricot jam and onion soup mix) and such a great blend of flavors! |
