Subject :What do you set out on the table when sending your daughter out on a date?

I'm nearing the parsha of sending my eldest daughter out on dates. What do you all have to say to how the table should be set; food, drinks... I know the food is usually not touched, but I was just curious as to what is considered to be under the 'norms'?
Thanks.

Dear Cappuchino,
Welcome to the parsha- welcome aboard. Im sure you have lots of questions about this tumultous era in your daughters life, and this is a great one!! What i usually did was put out some fresh rugulach tht my husband got from the local grocery, some fresh yummy nuts and chocolates. and of course a drink or two. That's it! its that easy. And lemme tell you- they dont eat. So whatever you do will be perfect! hatzlocho and there should be simchos for you soon and for everybody!!

Thank you so much, it sounds like you're quite experienced in this field.
Do you set out something for every date she goes on? Or just the first? When do you stop putting stuff out, if ever?
Thanks.

Cappuchino, so for the first 2 dates or so we sat the boy down and put out food. After that things chilled out a bit..and we just greeted the boy at the door for 2 minutes or something like that. In my opinion ther's no need for the formal stuff once the dating parshah progresses!! no need to make the boy more nervous than he is!!!
So good luck, hope to hear simchos from you soon!!! let us know!!!
