I am making the usual: Homemade pizza! I will invite my brother in yeshivah because like me he thinks the only way to break a fast is on Pizza. I will make a tomato soup for my husband and use some of the dough to make focaccia (just spread crushed garlic in olive oil, spice with italian seasoning and rosemary and a dash of kosher salt). I will round that off with my oven fries Recipe #591. I know is seems a bit heavy but I am starving after a fast and cake is just not food!

I second with Rachel. My husbands favorite is pizza too and it is the perfect food for after a fast, hot, sizzling and not too heavy on the stomach.
I will first serve rugelech ( recipe #) along with coffee and then the pizza.

To break the Tisha B'av, I'm thinking of starting with cake recipe#573 or recipe#683. Then a good soup and creamy mashed potatoes, (my husbands favorite) and our usual-which is homemade croissants- great with the soup. After that, no one is hungry anymore!

I also prefer a good filling soup. I posted 2 delicious soups, a mushroom barley Recipe #9492 or a quicker dairy soup Recipe #9493. Serve with fresh homemade rolls & that is more than enough after a fast. I also bake a fresh, quick one bowl cake that is yummy, Recipe #10512.
